[edit] Biographical Information

Catcher Fred Carisch had cups of coffee in the majors from 1903 to 1914. He was a coach for the Detroit Tigers in 1923 and 1924 and appeared in two games at age 41 while a member the Tigers staff. After his baseball days, Fred sold trucks for a living for 20 years.

He was in the minors at various times from 1901 to 1915, and then played in 1921 as a player-manager at Sioux Falls, where he also managed in 1922.
