Pitcher Frank Seminara was selected by the New York Yankees in the 12th Round of the 1988 amateur draft. In 1990, while playing for the Prince William Cannons, he led the Carolina League with 16 wins and a 1.90 ERA and was named the league's Pitcher of the Year .
Frank is the last major league player to come out of Columbia University.
