Benjamin Franklin Metz

First baseman Frank Metz played in the minor leagues from 1909 to 1918 and from 1920 to 1923, hitting .307 with 128 home runs, 510 doubles and 2,237 hits. He had the best years of his career in his final three seasons, hitting .369, .360 and .343 in 1921, 1922 and 1923, respectively. From 1920 to 1923, he averaged 58 doubles a season.

In 1912, he managed the San Antonio Bronchos. In 1920, 1921 and 1923, he skippered the Sioux City Packers.
