[edit] Biographical Information

After playing in the minors from 1937 to 1949, outfielder Frank Genovese was a minor league manager from 1949 to 1956. Genovese led the 1939 Middle Atlantic League with 113 runs scored.

He later became a San Francisco Giants scout and was responsible for signing Jesus Alou and Juan Marichal.

His brothers George Genovese and Anthony Genovese also played pro ball.

In 1945, Genovese played all 154 games for the Louisville Colonels, missing only 9 innings, and made no errors in the outfield. He accumulated a string of 227 games and 515 chances without an error.
