Frank Forbes was a Negro League shortstop for the Lincoln Giants, Chicago American Giants, and Brooklyn Royal Giants.

Forbes scouted for the New York/San Francisco Giants from 1951 to 1958.

Forbes was also an original voting member of the 1971 Special Committee on the Negro Leagues.
