Frank Croucher played four years in the American League, mostly as a shortstop. He appeared in the 1940 World Series.
His career was interrupted by World War II, and he never made it back to the majors afterwards.
Croucher played for the Toledo Mud Hens before the war in 1937, and then after the war in 1946.
He died after suffering a heart attack while watching a Houston Astros game on television.
