Frank Charles made it to the majors as a 31-year-old rookie, hitting .429 in his cup of coffee. He played over a decade in the minors, including seven years at the AAA level.
After leaving the minors in 2003, he played independent ball for the North Shore Spirit.
He was a California State University, Fullerton at the same time as Phil Nevin.
