[edit] Biographical Information

Frank Beck pitched three games for the Pittsburgh Alleghenys of the American Association in 1884, losing all three games. He then pitched two games for the Baltimore Monumentals of the Union Association, also losing both times.

What little is known about him is that he was born in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1858, although his listed birth date of April 29 is probably incorrect, to Frank and Mary Hengstebeck; he shortened his name for baseball purposes. In 1901, he was living in New York City with a wife and two daughters, but he disappeared from records after that date. Thus his date of death is still unknown.
