Frank Colman was a backup outfielder / first baseman for six years in the major leagues in the 1940's.
Colman, born in London, Ontario, played ball first in London. When his major league days ended due to an injury, he played for Seattle and was a player-coach for Toronto before returning to London as player-owner. He also played for Newark at one point in his career.
Six seasons of his 13-year minor league career were with Toronto.
He is a member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and the London Sports Hall of Fame.
