Pitcher Frances Janssen played four seasons in the AAGPBL with six different teams. She debuted in 1948, going 4-4 with a 3.98 ERA for the [Grand Rapids Chicks]]. She played in 1949 for the developmental teams, the Chicago Colleens and Springfield Sallies. Back in 1950, she bounced between the Peoria Redwings, Kalamazoo Lassies and Fort Wayne Daisies with a composite record of 3-3, 3.87 in 19 games.
Her best year was 1951, when she went 6-10 with a 2.67 ERA with Kalamazoo, Fort Wayne Peoria and the Battle Creek Belles. She ended up in 1952 with Battle Creek, going 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA. Overall, she had a 13-18, 3.74 record with 143 walks in 289 innings over 61 games. She had no decisions and a 3.01 ERA in three playoff games (all in 1950, when Fort Wayne fell to the Rockford Peaches.
