An instantly recognizable voice in the Caribbean, Cuban-born Felo Ramirez called his first game in 1945. In the past 61 seasons, Ramirez has called more than 40 Caribbean World Series. For many years he worked along side Buck Canel on Cavalcade of Sports.
In 1993, Ramirez joined the Florida Marlins as their Spanish language announcer. He was awarded the Ford Frick Award in 2001. He has also been honored in the Caribbean Baseball Hall of Fame, Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame and Latin American Baseball Hall of Fame.
