Feng hit .194/.265/.290 with 10 strikeouts in 31 AB as China's primary DH in the 2005 Baseball World Cup. In the 2006 World Baseball Classic, the youngster was the only player on the Chinese roster who did not get into a game. He was 2 for 19 with a walk and 7 strikeouts in the 2007 Arizona Fall League. In the 2008 Olympics, Feng hit .138/.138/.172 and made one error in 7 games in right field. He scored one run and drove in another but the RBI was a crucial one. In the bottom of the 8th of a game against Taiwan, down 2-0, Feng grounded home a run against Chia-Jen Lo to make it a one-run game. China went on to win, their only victory in the Beijing Games.
Feng was China's right fielder for the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He went 2 for 9 with a double, RBI and 3 strikeouts, finishing 4th on the team in OPS behind Yang Yang, Ray Chang and Fenglian Hou. Feng's sacrifice fly off Yueh-Ping Lin drove in Hou with China's first run in their win over Taiwan. Against South Korea, he threw out Kyung-wan Park at home (with a relay by Chang).
