Fábio Murakami has played three minor league seasons through 2008.
Murakami was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies at age 17. He made his pro debut with the 2006 VSL Phillies and hit .249/.337/.300 as a regular outfielder. With the same club in 2007, he batted .276/.337/.366. He hit .287/.337/.372 in 29 games for the 2008 GCL Phillies.
