Everett "Bill" Bankston was one of the players used by Connie Mack in his rebuilding effort on the 1915 Athletics.
Playing for the Cordele Ramblers in his first season of pro ball, Bankston led all of organized ball with 31 HR. He never again hit more than 10 HR in any season., but did lead the 1920 South Atlantic League with 86 RBI, and the 1925 Sally with a .388 AVG.
Much of his minor league career was spent in the South Atlantic League.
