Evaldo Yamaoka has represented Brazil on the international stage.
Yamaoka was Brazil's main shortstop in the 2005 Baseball World Cup. He hit .188/.250/.281 but fielded well (.973, 7 DP in 8 G) at short. In the 2006 COPABE Olympic Qualifiers, he hit .200/.455/.467 with 7 walks in 5 games; he fielded .944 at third base as Júlio Takahashi manned short.
In the 2007 Pan American Games, Yamaoka was 1 for 4 as a backup infielder. He played in the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup and hit .217/.400/.304 with 6 walks and a team-high 5 runs in 8 games. He split his time between third base, left field and center field. He tied Luis Alfonso García and Jorge Avellan for second in the event in walks, one behind leader Justo Rivas.
