Estadio de béisbol Monterrey is a ballpark located in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It was built in 1997 and has a capacity of 27,000 people. It is the home stadium of the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol. It is one of the largest baseball stadiums in the Mexican League.
Estadio Monterrey hosted three San Diego Padres home games against the New York Mets in August 1996 and was the site of the first regular season major league games played outside the United States or Canada. In the first game of "La Primera Serie" on August 16th, legendary Mexican pitcher Fernando Valenzuela of the Padres got the win. It hosted another Padres game in 1999.
