Outfielder Ernie Stewart played 12 games for the 1934 Portland Beavers, going 9 for 40 with two doubles and playing error-free ball in the field.
Stewart was an umpire in the Pacific Coast League (1936), Western Association (1937), Three-I League (1938), and American Association (1938-1940). He moved up to the American League from 1941 to 1945. He was fired by Will Harridge for disloyalty.
