Pitcher Eric Rasmussen pitched a shutout in his first National League game (July 21, 1975 with the St. Louis Cardinals) and his first American League game (August 6, 1983 with the Kansas City Royals). He spent all of 1981 and part of the 1982 season in the Mexican League.
In 1989, he played for the Fort Myers Sun Sox of the Senior Professional Baseball Association and went 1-3 with a 4.04 ERA for the club. Returning to Fort Myers in 1990, Rasmussen had a 0-1, 3.07 line in five games before the league folded.
