Eric Michael Arnett

Eric Arnett was a first-round draftee in 2009.

Arnett was 9-2 with a 1.52 ERA as a high school senior and also hit .425 with 11 homers. He earned 10 letters in 3 sports in high school, playing football (All-State receiver as a senior), basketball (All-District as a junior and senior) and baseball.

Eric was 2-2 with a 6.11 ERA as a freshman at Indiana University. As a sophomore, he improved to 4-5, 5.45. Arnett made major strides as a junior, going 12-2 with a 2.50 ERA and .212 opponent average, setting a school record by going 7-0 in the Big Ten Conference. He was named co-Pitcher of the Year in the Big Ten and was the first pitcher in school history to make All-American (picked as a second-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball).

The Milwaukee Brewers chose Arnett with the 26th pick of the 2009 amateur draft. He made his pro debut with the Helena Brewers on June 24, allowing two hits, a walk and two runs in one rocky inning.
