Third baseman Elmer Yoter had 2,581 hits in the minor leagues between 1921 and 1942, including 452 2B and 363 SB. Yoter led the 1922 Virginia League with 13 HR, 10 3B, and 98 R.
Yoter compiled a 1,331-1,220 record in 21 seasons as a minor league manager between 1932 and 1961, mostly for the Boston Red Sox organization. He also managed in the minors for the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs, and Brooklyn Dodgers.
Yoter also scouted for the Red Sox in 1948-1949 and 1952-1954.
