[edit] Biographical Information

On August 27, 1910, Elmer Koestner got the only hit in a one-hitter pitched by Sea Lion Hall.

He pitched for the Pacific Coast League champion Portland Beavers in 1911.

Koestner is also remembered as one of the pitchers in the first game played in St. Petersburg, FL, a spring training game between the St. Louis Browns and Chicago Cubs in 1914. Zip Zabel also pitched that day.
