[edit] Biographical Information
Elmer Klumpp was a catcher who appeared in 17 games in the big leagues in 1934 and 1937. He was managed in 1934 by Joe Cronin and in 1937 by Burleigh Grimes.
After he retired, he was a manager for a gear manufacturer.
One baseball fan had a baseball that was autographed by players with unusual names. Klumpp signed it, along with Hilly Flitcraft, Boots Poffenberger, Sibby Sisti, and Blue Moon Odom. See Ball with memorable names.
