Elmer Jacobs played pro ball for 21 years. He won 220 games in the minors and was a twenty game winner in the Pacific Coast League five times. In 1928, he went 22-8 with the San Francisco Seals and led the PCL with a 2.56 ERA and 159 strikeouts. In 2005 he was elected to the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame.
