During the month of July, 2003, playing for the Texas Rangers, Einar Diaz hit .313 with 10 RBI. Diaz was one of the oldest players in the low minors to begin 2007, as the 34-year-old was catching for the A-class Lynchburg Hillcats. He began the year 2 for 23.
In 2009, he was appointed manager of the Bluefield Orioles in the Appalachian League.
