Edgar Arismendi spent three years with the St. Louis Cardinals' Venezuelan Summer League team. He then was in the Spanish Division de Honor in 2003. He pitched for the Venezuelan national team in the 2010 Pan American Games Qualification Tournament. He signed with Italy's Godo Knights for 2011. In his debut there on April 16, he was pounded for nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits and three walks in only 2 1/3 IP against Telemarket Rimini before being yanked.
