Eddy Rodriguez debuted in the Italian Baseball League on April 9, 2009, allowing one hit and two walks in two shutout innings for Bologna and saving a Jesus Matos win. He had a rought time in Italy, allowing 10 runs, 9 walks and 7 hits in 6 innings. He was released and replaced on the roster by Victor Moreno.
