After a brief stint in the big leagues as a player, Eddie Bockman went on to have a long career as a minor league manager and scout. As a scout for the Philadelphia Phillies, he signed Bob Boone and Larry Bowa.
Bockman's brother, Morley Bockman, played in the minor leagues from 1948 to 1951.
