[edit] Biographical Information
Eddie Bane was a star pitcher for the Arizona State Sun Devils in the early 1970s, including the 1972 team that lost a heartbreaking final round game to USC 1-0. Drafted by the Minnesota Twins, Bane developed arm trouble and pitched in only 44 games with a 7-13 record. He pitched in AAA through 1980.
Bane later became a scout.
Bane managed the Batavia Trojans in 1984-1985. He was special assistant to the GM of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from 1999 to 2003, and has been Scouting Director of the Los Angeles Angels since 2004.
