[edit] Biographical Information
Ed Porray was born at sea in the Atlantic Ocean in 1888. In addition to appearing in the majors in 1914, he played several years in the minors, winning 20 games for Lansing in 1910 and 27 for Albany in 191.
One source claims he is the Edmund J. Porray that co-wrote the song "Everybody Shimmies Now", a 1918 song that became a sensation when Mae West sang it.
