Ed Goodson played 8 seasons in the big leagues, splitting his time between first base and third base. His best year was 1973, when he hit .302 with 12 home runs for the 1973 San Francisco Giants, a team on which a young Dave Kingman also got into 60 games at third base. Goodson's last major league appearance was in the 1977 World Series with the 1977 Los Angeles Dodgers.
