[edit] Biographical Information
After his playing career, Ed Farmer became a scout for the Baltimore Orioles in 1989. He has been a radio broadcaster for the Chicago White Sox since 1992, teaming with, through 2005, John Rooney. Beginning in 2006, his partner is former White Sox outfielder Chris Singleton. From 1992 through 2005, Farmer was primarily a color commentator, though he did add play-by-play duties over time. In 2006, he became the primary play-by-play voice, though he has indicated that he hopes Singleton will eventually incorporate some of those duties as well.
