Nicknamed "Beans", pitcher Earlene Risinger was one of the tallest players in the AAGPBL, where she played from 1948 to 1954. After playing her first season with the Springfield Sallies, she spent the remainder of her time with the Grand Rapids Chicks. Her best year was 1953, when she went 15-10 and led the Chicks to the league title. Over the course of her career, she was 73-80 with a 2.51 ERA in 187 games.

Following her baseball career, Risinger remained in Grand Rapids and worked as a medical assistant. She died of complications from pneumonia at age 81 in her hometown of Hess, Oklahoma.
