Dutchess Stadium is a ballpark located in Wappingers Falls, NY. It was built in 1994 and has a capacity of 4,494 people. It is the home stadium of the Hudson Valley Renegades of the New York-Penn League.
The Renegades were home to the Texas Rangers farm system from 1994-1995, before going co-op in 1996. In 1997 Major League Baseball announced that the Tampa Bay Devil Rays would begin play as a new MLB team in 1998. The Devil Rays were allowed to start a farm system during the preceeding season. The Hudson Valley Renegades took the field in 1997, as the first representatives to ever play for the Devil Rays... a year before the Major League team would debut. The stadium has been a huge success, as it has been playing at over 90% capacity since 1995 and reaching 100% in 2006. Source: http://www.digitalballparks.com Dutchess County Stadium gallery.
