Dustin Hermanson was the first Kent State University player drafted in the 1st round of the since Thurman Munson in 1968.

As of 2008, Dustin has won more games than any other member of the 1994 amateur draft's first round, a class whose members include Scott Elarton, Jaret Wright and Paul Wilson.

He was a member of Team USA.
