[edit] Biographical Information
Catcher Doug Davis had cups of coffee with the California Angels and Texas Rangers before embarking on a coaching/managing career.
Davis was a coach for the Lake Elsinore Storm in 1995. He was minor league field coordinator for the Montreal Expos in 2001 and the Florida Marlins in 2003 and 2005. In 2003 and 2004, he was the Marlins bench coach. He was also the Marlins minor league catching and base running coordinator in 2005. In 2006, he took over as the skipper of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. After the 2006 season he was named manager of the Syracuse Chiefs.
