First baseman Don Pries played in the minors from 1945 to 1958. In 1947, Pries hit .326 with 32 doubles and 19 home runs for the Meridian Peps of the class B Southeastern League. He never hit more than 4 homers in any other season. Pries reached as high as AA in 1947 and 1948 for a total of 36 games. He would then spend 1951-1957 in the Western International League/Northwest League.
Pries later scouted for the Kansas City A's in the mid 60s and the Baltimore Orioles in the late 60s.
