[edit] Biographical Information

Don Loun pitched two games for the 1964 Washington Senators, posting an ERA of 2.08 for manager Gil Hodges. He was a year younger than fellow pitcher Claude Osteen.

In his major league debut he beat the 1964 Boston Red Sox 1-0.

Loun was born in Frederick, MD and went to high school there. He spent his first two minor league seasons at Pensacola, with a winning record both years. After going 11-10 for the Peninsula Senators in 1963, his time in 1964 was split between the Senators and two minor league teams, York and Toronto, for whom he went a combined 10-8 (along with a 1-1 record for the Senators).

After his major league stint, he pitched in the minors through 1969.
