[edit] Biographical Information

Don Lang was a third baseman 12 seasons 1936 to 1950, two in the Major Leagues ten years apart and 11 in the minors (9 in AAA), losing three years to the Military. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps 7th Army Air Force during World War II (1943-1945) (GB) while property of the Boston Red Sox. He played 21 games for the Cincinnati Reds in 1938 and was the regular third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals most of 1948 due to a career-ending injury to Whitey Kurowski. He married Mary Gorrindo 19490203.
