Don Newhauser went 4-3 with 5 saves and a 2.39 ERA during his 42 games in the majors from 1972-74.
He also pitched 10 seasons in the minors with Greenville, Winston-Salem, Louisville, Pawtucket and Charleston.
He is the only major leaguer (through 2008) with the last name Newhauser. The name of the Hall of Famer with the similar name is Hal Newhouser.
