Don Eddy had good ERA's in the two seasons he pitched in the major leagues. With the 1970 White Sox, he had a 2.31 ERA in 7 games. With the 1971 White Sox, he had a 2.38 ERA in 22 games. He was a bit wild, giving up 25 walks in 34 innings, but they didn't seem to hurt his ERA. He gave up only one unearned run.
Had a hit in his only major league at bat. On September 30, 1970 against the Milwaukee Brewers while playing for the Chicago White Sox, he hit a double of Bill Parsons. Eddy pitched 2 scoreless innings in the game giving up a hit, 3 walks and strking out one. The White Sox won the game, 2-1.
He was traded in July 1972 to the San Diego Padres.
He had a 3.60 ERA with the Duluth-Superior Dukes in 1968. With the Appleton Foxes in 1969, he had 18 wins and a 1.81 ERA. His minor league career was in 1966 and 1968-73.
