The son of big league catcher Harry Chiti, pitcher Dom Chiti was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 1976 amateur draft and played six seasons in the minors. After retiring as a player, he spent many years as a minor league coach. He was the Cleveland Indians bullpen coach in 1992 and 1993, and he became the Texas Rangers bullpen coach in 2006.
