[edit] Biographical Information
Poor Doc Hamann never got an out in his one stint as a major league pitcher. He faced seven batters, and gave up six earned runs. Three batters got hits, three drew walks, there was one man hit-by-pitch, and there was also a wild pitch. He did not, however, draw the loss because he had entered the game with his team already losing. Tris Speaker was the manager.
He appeared briefly with the 1923 Minneapolis Millers.
He was the first major leaguer born in New Ulm, MN, with the most prominent being Terry Steinbach.
