[edit] Biographical Information
Luther "Doc" Cook played for the New York Yankees primarily during the days when the Federal League existed. He was the regular rightfielder in both 1914 and 1915.
Cook made his major league debut in auspicious fashion, leading off for the Yankees and going 3-for-4. The New York Times said that afterwards, he and another new player, Harry Williams, would go see the sights of their new town. Cook had come from Austin.
