Doc Land played center field in one game in the majors.
The name "Doc" was not a nickname but the name he was given at birth. He was at the University of Alabama at the same time as Andy Cohen.
Land's manager was Walter Johnson and he was two years younger than fellow outfielder Goose Goslin.
