[edit] Biographical Information

Everett "Dizzy" Nutter played 18 games for the 1919 Boston Braves. All his field appearances were in center field.

He was two years younger than teammate Rabbit Maranville and seven years younger than teammate Jim Thorpe. Thorpe also played center field for the Braves that season but was more often in left field.

Much of Nutter's pro career was spent in New Haven, where he played for all or part of the seasons from 1916-20 and 1922.

He was the first major leaguer to carry the nickname "Dizzy".
