Diego Sandino is with Nicaragua in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. He won two pitching Triple Crowns in Nicaragua's amateur leagues. In 2000, he won 14 games, had a 1.15 ERA and struck out 82 for the 4th pitching Triple Crown in league history. Seven years later, he led in wins (8), K (48) and ERA (1.34) to match Porfi Altamirano as the only two-time Triple Crown winners in the circuit.
