Dick Ricketts was an NBA player for several years before coming to the majors in 1959 for 12 major league games. He stood 6 ' 7 " tall.
A player out of Duquesne University, his time overlapped there with that of his brother Dave Ricketts. Both brothers also appear in a 1953 scorecard for the Schoeneck Chicks of the Eastern County League.
He also pitched for Buffalo and Rochester. After his baseball days he worked for Eastman Kodak Company.
