[edit] Biographical Information
Dick Kokos played five seasons in the majors, with the St. Louis Browns and their successor, the Baltimore Orioles. He had some power, always slugging over .400 and ranking # 7 in the league in home runs in 1949, a year in which he was also 7th in doubles and led the American League in strikeouts.
He was with the Toledo Mud Hens in 1948. After three years in the major leagues, he spent 1951 and 1952 in the service, and came back in 1953 to play major league ball again.
