[edit] Biographical Information
Dick Harley had the misfortune of being a regular on the 1899 Cleveland Spiders, probably the worst team ever in the National League. In general, while in the majors, he was not much of a hitter, although he could steal a base and draw a walk, and was good at getting hit by the pitch. His range in the outfield was pretty good early in his career.
Harley was the coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 1921 to 1924. He also coached at Villanova University and Pennsylvania State University.
