Dewey Soriano was a minor league pitcher in the 1940s. He reached as high as AAA in 1946-1948 and 1950-1951. He appeared in the Pacific Coast League in nine of the 10 seasons he was active.
He succeeded Robert Brown as GM of the Vancouver Capilanos in 1953 when Brown became president of the Western International League. Soriano was President of the Pacific Coast League from 1960 to 1968. He was also co-owner and President of the expansion Seattle Pilots for their sole season of 1969.
